Acai Diet Study – Can I Really Lose 30 Pounds with an Acai Berry Product?

“I was more than curious, I was obsessed with knowing if I could lose 30 pounds on a new Acai berry diet.” That was the off hand testimony I overheard yesterday as one of the girls that frequented our shop just started going on and on about this supposedly amazing new diet that she had undergone.

I found myself mesmerized while she talked, drifting off into my own nightmares scenarios of the battle of the bulge. “One yoyo diet after another.” I said to myself. “That’s all these diets usually wind up being. Just another Yo-Yo”

You see, she started to explain about how easy it was with her first successful attempt at serious weight loss. My ears perked up. Easy? We’ll just see about that!

After looking it up and spending a few hours researching about the Acai Berry, I found that the Acai Palm, has for thousands of years, been known as “The Tree of Life” due to a fact that ancient warriors ate its delicious berries, religiously, both before and after their strenuous tribal battles. Why? Energy was the answer. Can you imagine what it would feel like to have the energy of a rain forest warrior? Speaking of side effects, if increased energy is one major side effect then decreased appetite is another. Maybe this is why everybody talking about Acai. I knew in my heart that if I wasn’t hungry all the time, I could loose all that extra weight.

Acai, well known for the magical medicinal properties in its native land has now finally been recognized by Western scientific communities for what the Amazonians have known for a thousands of years, that the Acai Berry is, simply put, a Supper Food. In the Amazon, people have known all along about Acai’s super anti oxidants, its super flavinoids and super Resveratrol. That’s right Resveratrol, another mysterious super ingredient now proven scientifically to be associated with anti ageing. Acai has gained a reputation and scientific following as an atioxidant powerhouse. The Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry recently published details that showed Acai Berries polyphenol content was filled with anthocyanins and cyanidins. This basically translates to “Super Food” Dried Acai fruit pulp has shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, an important finding since inflammation underlies many chronic diseases of aging. Science can be a great partner when it comes to aiding in the care of both body and soul.

Well as it turned out, both the woman who came into our shop and myself owe a huge debt to the Acai Berry. I don’t think I could have lost over 30 pounds without it.
